For this assignment I must decide the theme for the project based on an art movement.(art deco, surrealism, pop art). Research what the style looks like. And create a look and redesign 2 or more articles of clothing (jacket, coat, dress, sneakers, shoes, pants, accessories, makeup)

This is the pattern that I created for the shoes

I use the rectangle tool to create the pattern and then I use the paint bucket to color them.

I used the pattern created in photoshop and the pattern that I found online to make the shoes look more fashionable. I use the adjustment layer to make the pattern I created became black and white so it can be more fit in the shoe, for the pattern from online, I first invert the image by using Ctrl + I so the pattern lines appear as white, and I use the layer mask to put it on the shoe.

I use the pattern from online and the photoshop tool liquify to put the pattern on the dress, I use the liquify tool to push the pattern within the dress and so it will be more fitable on the dress, and I also use the liquify to create wrinkles so it looks more realistic.

What were the requirements for assignment?

The requirements for the assignment are such as using adjustment layers, using blending modes and filters in the project.

What is unique about your composition?

I use the liquify tool to adjust the pattern in order to fit in the shape and the wrinkles of the clothing.

How did you use Photoshop to create your composition?

I use the pattern that I found from the website to add to the white dress, and then I use the layer mask to hide the parts that I don’t want to show, then I use the liquify to adjust the pattern in order to make it fit to the dress, then I change the blending mode of the pattern into multiple which can make it more realistic. For the second one, I first created the pattern that I want, then I paste it on the shoe and then I use the layer mask again to do the same thing in order to let the pattern apply on my shoe, then I use the hue/saturation layer to make the color into balck and white.

What is the symbolism behind your picture?

The symbolism of the dress is simple and the pattern kind of gives it the meaning of religious connotations, and the symbolism for the shoe is just the modernity with a little of abstraction.

How does your picture represent a fantasy or reality?

The patterns on the shoe show the fantasy of modernity and the patterns on the dress shows the reality with some religious meaning.
